This table features a striking burled blackbutt slab, carefully shaped into an elongated oval that complements the swirling, chaotic grain.
Spotted gum inlays were used to repair natural voids and reinforce the slab, but more than that, they draw the eye deeper into the complex patterns of the burl. The base, built from the same slab, rises dramatically to support the top, keeping the story of the timber intact from top to bottom.
It’s a piece that embraces the imperfections, celebrates the natural form, and offers a grounded, sculptural presence in any room.
